Chemical Exfoliants and YOU

Are chemical exfoliants for you? Two very popular chemical exfoliants are AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids). 

AHA consists of citric acid (found in citrus fruits), Glycol Acids (found in sugar cane), Malic Acid (found in apples). AHA's work by removing the top layers of dead skin cells and promoting firmness. This makes it ideal for sun damage, dry skin, acne &scars.

Since AHA's remove dead skin cells so quickly, it lessens the chances of acne being able to form, also lightens scars/hyper-pigmentation fast.It's recommended that when using AHA you also apply a SPF, this helps protect your new skin cells from damage.
